St. Louis AT HOME Architect & Designer Award

St. Louis AT HOME Magazine awarded S.W. Scheipeter Construction third place in the Addition category for its 2012 Architect and Designer Award. Awards were presented to 33 local companies for 19 different categories.  The competition was open to all local design, architect and landscape firms. SWS won third place for a 3-story addition on a colonial home in Ladue, MO.

Professional’s Choice Award

S.W. Scheipeter Construction is a proud recipient of the Professional’s Choice Award. In 2007, the Professional’s Choice Award was created for builders to have their homes judged by professional building inspectors. There are no categories, though nominees compete against themselves and must score 70 out of 100 possible points to win. Nominees are judged on basis of overall excellence in workmanship.

Top 500 Remodelers

S.W. Scheipeter Construction has been named one of Qualified Remodeler magazine’s Top 500 remodelers in 2006, 2007 and 2008.  The annual list, published in the fall, includes the nation’s top design/build, full-service and specialty companies in the multi-billion-dollar construction remodeling business.

Homer Award

S.W. Scheipeter Construction has received seven Homer Awards: one in 2002, two in 2003, two in 2004 and two in 2006. The Homer Award is the “Oscar” of the local residential building industry, recognizing excellence in design, workmanship and value in residential construction projects throughout the St. Louis region. In 2004, the HBA celebrated its 36th consecutive Homer Awards program for builder achievement. The Homer Awards is the most widely recognized new home building competition in the St. Louis area and is open only to HBA members.

Chrysalis Award

S.W. Scheipeter Construction received its second Chrysalis award in 2012 for the category “Best Whole House Remodel.” SWS received its first Chrysalis Award in 2006 for the category “Best Project – Finished Basement.”  The Chrysalis Awards program began in 1993 to select the best remodeling projects in the United States in various categories.  This prestigious competition is open to all remodeling contractors – not just companies who are members of particular associations.  Judges are staff members of national consumer magazines such as “Better Homes & Gardens”, “Southern Living Magazine” and many other publications.  Project judging criteria include design, use of materials, use of space and integration into the existing space.  Winning projects are displayed on the Chrysalis Awards website and receive coverage in “Qualified Remodeler” magazine.
